(Context: The policy of having no more than three tests each week.)

Good afternoon Principal, Vice-principal, teachers and fellow schoolmates,
As all of you know, the school has implemented the policy of having no more than three tests each week. When we students get to know about this policy, all of us were so relieve, as we believed that the school would have this policy is because they understand we are not able to take the stress of having up to seven tests each week as this was what many classes experienced.

However, some teachers were not taking the policy seriously. For example, my class 3D already has three tests lined up for us that particular week. Then out of a sudden, another teacher will then ask for a pop quiz or a class test that week too. We said that there are already three tests to study for, so we really cannot have another test. Moreover, we also emphasized that there is the policy to follow. Even so, they still disregard of how we think about having another test and just go according to how they want it. This is unfair to us as we have many reasons to go against the idea of having another test.

Firstly, we as Secondary Threes have just taken over our Co-curriculum Activities (CCAs) this year, thus have to balance between our results and CCAs. Moreover, we had just taken over our CCAs, so we need to train our juniors for the upcoming events or competitions and let them know that we can do a good job in leading the CCA. Therefore, we tend to put in for time and effort into our CCAs. If last minute the teachers were to place another extra test, how can we actually manage? Yes, it is true that studies come first, but the school expects us to achieve results in our CCAs too. That is why we will tend to put in a little bit more effort for our CCAs, causing us not being able to handle any tests that the teachers did not tell us at least a week or two beforehand.

Secondly, if teachers want to go with having more than three tests each week, why have this policy in the first place? Ever since we get to know about this policy, we really hope this will in turn reduce our stress. However, some teachers are unclear about this policy. Recently, when a teacher wanted to slot in a pop quiz for my class, he asked me if the policy is ‘not more than three tests a week’ or ‘not more than four tests a week’. This shows that the policy, even though made official, is still not clear to some. Most of the time, teachers will just go forward in placing the test in the week they want, even though we told them our objections and the reasons.

Therefore, I would like to bring forward my suggestion regarding the policy. I hope the whole school, including the teachers and students, can be briefed on the policy. By doing so, it will be made clear to everyone about the policy, so it can be carried out more efficiently by the teachers. Having to squeeze in one more pop quiz or test for the term is not an excuse for breaking the policy. I certainly hope this issue will be looked at and taken seriously by the school, thank you.

English Blog Entry 3 : What are your thoughts and reactions to the 'Green Mile' ?

- Set on Death Row in a Southern prison in 1935, The Green Mile is the remarkable story of the cell block’s head guard, who develops a poignant, unusual relationship with one inmate who possesses a magical gift that is both mysterious and miraculous.


There are many things i want to say about the Green Mile. Like why i like John Coffey and Paul Edgecomb and detest Percy Wetmore and William Wharton "Wild Bill", why i teared when John Coffey was being put to death, all my feelings towards the movie and how i think Percy Wetmore should have suffered. If i were to include all, i will never be able to finish this post. So, i shall just talk about why i teared and how i think Percy should have suffered or even die. This is because those who watched the movie should feel quite similar to how i feel about the characters.






John Coffey has special powers in healing, he is a gift from God. He was being caught and placed behind the bars for a crime he did not commit. The guards in cell block E, at firstthought that John will cause alot of trouble. They slowly lose their 'guard' against him as they found out he is harmless. John is not just harmless, he cured Paul Edgecomb, Eduard Delacroix ‘Del’'s rat Mr Jingles and Melinda Moores, Harry Terwilliger's wife. He will 'suck' in whatever is the virus/germs/infection/tumour/pain that is in the person/animal he is trying to save, taking it in. Then he will force it all out, letting it into the air out of his mouth. He will be 'dog-tired' by the end of it and needs rest. What a good and kind-hearted person he is! He may look big-size and is a coloured man, but what is important is his inside! After watching his good deeds and knowing he is a very very nice, kind person, i cannot help but teared abit when i watch him dying on Old Sparky! I tend to cry too easily and i cannot help it at times. This is just a movie and yet i have so much feelings for it! John Coffey is a gift from God and yet he chose to die as he does not want to see 'bad man' killing innocent using the love for each other. He could not bear to see the evils in life and chose his path by returning to where he came from, Heaven. I cried because of the lack of justice in this world, of the unfairness the exist!












Percy Wetmore deserves more, in order to pay back for the evil deeds he had done to the innocent. Even though Percy turned into a retard (that is the way I prefer to call him, hope you don't mind) in the end, but I think this is not enough. When he became a retard, he will have people to look after him and he can not care about what is happening to him anymore. That is what i think, it may not be so. He thinks that having strong and powerful connections will allow him to have his way in the cell block, including bullying prisoners. He is just a wimp! He wanted to step on to Mr Jingles, just because he thinks that the rat is irritating by running around. He triedmany times to step on the rat but failed, until once. Luckily, John saved it back to life! Percy Wetmore is indeed a Wetmore! All because Wild Bill grabbed him, touched him, say disgusting/nasty/threatening words, he pee on his pants in front of all! What a Wetmore! He done many other mean things, like not adding water to the sponge!

He deserves to die a hundred times, though it's impossible. He should be electrocuted 2 times, 'Roll on two!' then he won't die! I may sound mean for what i am going to say next, but this is just how i feel! I think he should be raped by Wild Bill, this way he will feel that living on has no meaning. I have many ideas on how he chould suffer but i cannot express myself through typing! He should be getting ten times back what he had done! That is the only way to really know he had done wrong and repent! I feel like saying i hate Percy 50 times! Zzzzzz.


This is all, i really cannot fully express what i really want to say! So there, hope you forgive me Mr.Tan! Happy CNY and do give us angbao! :DD

"My Music - My World"

Cool! I happen to love music! Music is always around me, be it songs on my mp3 or handphone / my humming and singing. I believe the type of music that a person listens to affects how he/ she act and respond to the surroundings. Our generation is believed to listen to those kind of hard core rock and suicidal songs (is that wht you call them?). They just rock and rock down there, makes you feel drowsy and HIGHHHHH! Makes no sense, or rather not my type.

As for me, it's anything that I think is nice and can make me listen to it for many many times without getting sick of it. I like soothing songs and catchy ones too! Anything like R&B, soft rock (got such a thing?), Pop, Hip hop, Latin, Ballad, Country.. Chinese English Korean. About all! However, today i shall just give a few examples of what songs are on my current MUST LISTSEN list! ((:

NUMBER ONE: Fergalicious by Fergie

Reasons being it makes me want to move my body! So sluty, but who cares! It's nice! (although it made me thought of one of my SUPER bitchy junior who every drama person is irritated by! Ewwww.


NUMBER TWO: Smack That by Akon ft. Eminem

It's nice! Makes me want to sing along! (: Kind of Hip-Hop right! YO MAN! I can like iamgine myself wearing some hip-hop outfit and sing! IMAGINE.


NUMBER THREE: Hurt by Christina Aguilera

It's really sad, as suggested by the the title. It somehow brings back all my sad memories of past relationships, be it with friends or family. I can even cry when I am listening to it. Christina Aguilera's voice is really strong and powerful. I try to sing along, but failed to hit the high notes! Like: I'm sorry for blaming you, for everything I just couldn't do. And I've hurt myself, by hurting you!!! (then my voice break and starts screeching!) Ouch, you can imagine eh. Want a demo? ASK ME (:

The situation above is so similar to my friend's. Her ex-boyfriend can jolly well sing this song for her. My friend is still very upset because he told her that they should just become friends. Like WTH! That guy's a pretty nice person, but somehow he just doesn't want to continue a relationship with my friend. I guess this kind of thing is more or less a stage everybody has to go through. So girl, CHEER UP! I really like this song, so much emotions.

NUMBER FIVE (and the last): Tu Amor by RBD

Ah, this song was introduced by Megan. Niceeeeee! So sweet!
Even though I don't understand what Tu Amor means (it's latin!), but should be something to a girl a guy likes! So guys out there, say Tu Amor! But be prepared to see the girl you like looks blur blur okay! ^^


Yepp, so the above are the songs that I like and still like! So you can I see I go towards the more 'positive' songs. Not those kind of songs that people listen will make their heads shake and shake, like just pop some pills or something! Zzzzz.

I can also sing like a little bit of each song! You can hear me humming either one of them :D

P.S. I felt that maybe i should add in more. My post feels shallow, maybe I am just shallow ): Hmm, music to me is quite important just like drama! It affects how I react to others and events around me. I am a very emotional, used to and still is. I will listen to sad sadddddddddddd songs when I feel down and helpless. I will feel really high when listening to songs like My Love by Justin Timberlake!!! WOOOHOO! He is super nice! His songs, I meant! His MVs too! Aiyar, I lazy put up his songs! Next time, when I am free (: I tend to cry really often, over stuff that you may think is stupid. However, that is just me! I can find songs that are so like me! As in, I think the songs are like describing parts of my life! I bet you feel that way too right! So I am simply surrounded by music. I am not feel as strong for a music like Mr Tan do, but I LOVE MUSIC! I don't like hate a certain music and prefer the other. Music is the bestest bestest thing I could ever need! (:

3D'07!

All of us came into this class just this year. We stayed in our clinques for sometime before we are mixing around like we do now. I really love this class now!

How come we are different from other sec three class?
Me: My class is so noisy, everyday!
Ex-classmate: Huh? How come?
Me: We mixed together and knew every single one of us already!
Ex-classmate: So fast! My class still very quiet. We hardly mix around.
Me: My class quite fun! We that time even planned some 'breakfast gathering' on the day we can go to school late. The timing was 8.45am. We still say what : Late together, Detention together! So UNITED CAN! (:
Ex-classmate: *looks jealous* So good...

Hmmm, 3D'07 is getting better as days go by. Boy, am I proud of it!

Next topic: AHS

Aha, everybody is complaining about how AHS is getting from bad to worse. The news I get from outsiders is : AHS is a very good school! Students very polite and results are damn good!

WOW, I am amused. There are internal changes that outsiders don't understand. We students are complaining and unhappy, teachers are, even the school vendors are! The ones selling uniform to AHS is also upset by the ones who lead our school. How I know? I worked for them during last holiday (: It's mainly the you-know-who's fault! Students can't help but gossip about them all day long! Can't blame us though. All talk and no work makes us students miserable. THANKS!

Today's school so tiring! Amath, Emath make all of us want to sleep. I closed my eyes and started dozing off during geography too! My head tilted down and moved back, back and fro.
